King’s Cross
Super Nature
Placemaking, 2021

Strategy, branding and placemaking for King’s Cross, ‘Super Nature’ was part of our wider placemaking strategy for the estate, an ongoing initiative in which the projects developed and delivered under this banner formed part of the public engagement on the journey for the King’s Cross Estate to become ‘circular’.

Super Nature explores design, materials and production methods that have a positive impact on people and the planet. The idea behind this project was to use the installations and cultural programme at King’s Cross as a way to facilitate conversations and collaborations and most importantly, to bring about change.

We invited Adapt design studio to develop the visual identity for this project. The studio was run by Josie Tucker and Richard Ashton, two creatives and climate activists who use design, humour and contemporary culture to communicate climate issues and projects in a new way. We shared their aim of encouraging action, knowledge exchange and building communities motivated for change through collaboration.
