Double Take
Placemaking, 2019

Brand development and public realm commissioning for Coal Drops Yard, 'Double Take' was a collaboration with It's Nice That, to deliver a new set of works for the shopping district's physical and digital spaces, rethinking and refreshing the award-winning assets one year after launch.

The site-specific installation by Isabel + Helen saw five giant colourful sculptures inhabiting the spaces between archways, interacting with the contours of the buildings, and hiding around the unique architecture, guaranteed to stop visitors in their tracks and take another look.

Reworked Coal Drops Yard Social assets.

Alongside the installation, INT also commissioned six animation directors from around the world to take over Instagram and rework the visual identity designed by Droga5. Each animator created a fun loop that responded to the history and heritage of Coal Drops Yard. The animations reflected the playful spirit of the project and celebrated each practitioner's unique style.
