Coal Drops Yard

Coal Drops Yard
Launch
Placemaking, 2018

Events and installations for Coal Drops Yard and King’s Cross, a 4-day launch event as part of our wider placemaking strategy for the estate.

We provided the creative and curatorial concept, overseeing all agencies, meanwhile leasing and commissions for this site-wide event to celebrate the re-opening of Coal Drops Yard. A multi-layered event that referenced the building’s heritage, whilst encouraging guests to uncover and explore the new offer of shops, restaurants, bars and installations.

To maximise attention for this moment, we worked directly with all the tenants to coordinate their launch parties and recruited a stellar lineup of partners across music, art, design and fashion to be part of a lively programme that included performances, pop-ups, installations and family-friendly workshops. Delivering a diverse range of content for the comms and PR teams to disseminate, which in turn saw significant footfall on the opening weekend.
